Interview with Jon-Erik Lappano - CBC Radio One - Daybreak Alberta November 11, 2017

The 2017 TD Bank Children's Literature Award will be handed out on November 21. Five books are nominated each year and the authors tour Canada reading their book for school children. Jon-Erik Lappano's first book is "Tokyo Digs A Garden" and won the 2016 Govenor General's Award. The story is about a boy who is given seeds and told to make a wish. His wish comes true in the form of a garden that overtakes the city where he lives. Jon-Erik Lappano read his book at Grandin School in Edmonton and he also spoke with Russell Bowers about the ideas behind his writing.
